Has it really been over a year?

Well yes it has. I can't believe it and I apologize. Here's what's going on in my life....in May 2009 it was time for me to put the roll of stay-at-home mom behind me and I started a part-time job at Fishers Pediatric Dentistry. This part-time job has turned into a full-time job and I LOVE it. I love the office, I love my co-workers and I love my boss. I am very blessed to have been given the opportunity to work at such an amazing place and still have interaction with children! But since working full-time I've put my love of photography on a back burner. I still take photos for friends and family but I haven't been marketing my business at all. I'm always busy with photo sessions in the gorgeous Fall season and have had quite a few sessions lately. It's stirring my passion again and I think I want to dust off the lenses and get back into it. I won't be able to book sessions throughout the week like I did before, because let's face it....after working an 8-9 hour day I want to go home and just be a mom and wife. But the weekends are fair game to my photography (but I may need to lug my kids with me now and then).

So there you have it! I'm going to try to play catch-up on here and post some recent work. And I'm going to get my camera out more! I promise.

Wow. It's been a while.

So I confess, I have been TERRIBLE about keeping my blog updated. I started a part time job in May which quickly turned into a full time job. I work in a pediatric dentist office and I LOVE it. But going from being a stay-at-home mom with a lot of time to work on my photography to a full time job definitely requires some juggling when it come to my photography. Fall is always the busiest time of the year. I thought I could manage as many sessions as I used to but there is just no way. I have decided to stop booking sessions throughout the week and only book them on weekends. That way I can utilize my time in the evenings (once my kids are in bed) editing the photos.

Blogger is having issues right now uploading photos, but as soon as I can I will update some recent pics!

Cutie Cute

Little Shay is such a cutie! I got to photograph her first birthday party and now I had the chance to shoot her 15 month pics with her mommy and daddy! We had a gorgeous day, despite the mud puddles that Shay loved splashing in! Thanks Jamie and Mike! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I look forward to working with you again!

This is one darn good looking family

I have to admit, I was a little nervous about photographing this family since I had never done a family this large before. But let me tell you these were the best behaved children and they were total natural models! I barely had to make any funny noises to get the baby to look at me!!! She smiled the whole time!!!

So let me introduce my friends Patti and Tom and their gorgeous children: Hailey (the winner of my Spring's Coolest Kid Contest....and she definitely was a cool kid!), Katelynn, Tyler, and Lilly. I adored photographing all of you! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and like your pictures as much as I do! And I hope to be able to have the chance to work with you again!

My Niecey Poo

Wow, I took her 6 months pictures on Easter Sunday. Here it is, June 11th and I'm just now finishing them. That's what happens when you have a broken computer, other multiple sessions, starting a new job, and oh yeah running around after two little crazy monkeys.

Anyways, isn't my little niecey poo precious??

Dali + Rod: May 16, 2009

Here is part II of the wedding photos. I FINALLY got them all edited, although I'm sure before I burn the CD at the end of the weekend I'll continue to tweak and play....I'm known for that. LoL!

Enjoy!
